About

My name is Ric, born in 1982 in East-Germany, I lived the youth of a socialistic kid as anyone else. Located in the very east of Germany, Dresden is my birthplace. A town full of culture, theater, opera houses and art. Despite the fact that I stayed with offices for most of my working life, I become a sailor in 2015 and I have not stopped sailing since then.


I always had an artistic approach about life. I painted, did graffiti, produced music and DJ'ed a lot. In 2015, I discovered photography. My friends kept telling me that I have a good eye for photography, and so I tried it and fell in love. Usually when I start something I stick with it. So I began to takelandscape photos, predominantly sunsets and began to love the silence of nature. A while later I stepped into the realm of Portrait Photography, and I am happy about the results — as well as my customers.

Since I always liked to create movies, I spent a lot of time making videos as well. Videos about sailing to be specific. At around 4 years of sailing I was so lucky to visit almost the whole of Europe under sail. From Italy to France, from the UK to Spain my camera is with me to document these journeys.
